my story…

I grew up in the suburbs outside of Detroit in the 90’s, the youngest of four in a loving, loud household. My mom didn’t love to cook (and who could blame her with so many mouths to feed?), so most of our meals were quick, processed, and budget-friendly. I stayed active, but the food I ate often left me feeling…off. I remember getting stomach aches so bad after meals that I’d have to lie down in the booth at restaurants—one of the earliest connections I made to food and it’s affect on my body.

In my teens, something shifted. I became curious about how food made me feel. I quit drinking soda, started making my own protein shakes, and taught myself how to cook with whole foods. Neither of my parents were interested in the kitchen, so sometimes I would take over, trying new recipes and watching their reactions which gave me a sense of joy, creativity, and purpose.

By 19, I had moved out, filled my pantry with nourishing foods, and kept experimenting with what made me feel my best—no strict rules, just self-awareness and balance.

I started traveling at 21 on a mission to find purpose. Over the next year and a half, I explored new states and countries, searching for something deeper, but somewhere along the way I lost my connection to myself. I picked up habits that didn’t serve me, gained weight, was diagnosed with asthma, and found myself getting sick often. I wasn’t treating my body with the same care and respect I once had. I had slipped out of alignment and it showed up in my health, my energy, and my mindset.

I came back to my little town in Arizona and felt like I had to start over to answer the question “who is Beth?” I had just wrapped up a wild year and a half of travel—full of culture, adventure, and very little structure. I found myself craving more grounding and direction.

Then came 2020.

Like most people, I was thrown off course. I was working as an assistant manager at a gym when COVID hit, and I had this huge realization: a majority of people around me felt isolated, disconnected, and unsupported. This is when I knew: I didn’t just want to help people move or eat better. I wanted to be an advocate for their entire wellness journey.

My motivation came from a desire to advocate for others and help them reclaim something—perhaps connection, peace, or inner strength during a time when everything felt uncertain.

During that time, I found peace in yoga, running, and reconnecting with nature, family, and myself. I had no control over what was happening in the world around me, but I did have control over how I spent each day. Moving, breathing, and listening to my body became a non-negotiable.

I gained my health coach certification in 2021 around the time the world started to feel “normal” again. By then, I had already learned so much about myself, and enrolling in a coaching program felt less like a career move and more like a powerful investment in me. That year became a turning point, where I deepened my understanding of what it truly means to slow down, tune in, and reconnect with my values.

Through it all, I learned that health isn’t about restriction or perfection. It’s about alignment—between your values, your actions, and your energy. It’s about tuning in, not tapping out.

Now, as a certified health coach, I help ambitious women—especially those feeling burnt out and out of balance—reconnect with their bodies, values, and purpose through sustainable habits and mindset shifts.

Because I don’t just “do wellness.” I’ve lived the cost of disconnection and I’ve learned how to come home to myself.

Are you ready to tune in and realign?

If so, I’d love to see how I can support you.

xoxo, Beth
